FMCP Announces Appointment of Volunteer Leaders
Alexandria, VA, February 4, 2010 — The Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy — the educational, research and philanthropic arm of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) — has announced the appointment of three new volunteer leaders.
FMCP appointed Perry Cohen, as a member of the FMCP Board of Trustees. Cohen is principal at The Pharmacy Group, LLC, and has had a long relationship with both FMCP and AMCP. He is one of the AMCP Founders and a Past President. Cohen also has served on the Past President and Founders Advisory Counsel and as an FMCP Trustee. In addition, he has served on the FMCP Development Committee and as a contributing editor to AMCP’s Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy.
FMCP also appointed Craig S. Stern, RPh, Pharm.D, FAMCP and Norrie Thomas, Ph.D., MS, RPh, to lead the FMCP Development Committee, the committee charged with guiding the efforts to raise funds in support of FMCP’s work to help people receive the medications they need.
Stern is President of Pro Pharma Pharmaceutical Consultants, Inc., and has served FMCP and AMCP in many volunteer positions. He has served on the AMCP Board of Directors and various AMCP committees, including Special Projects, Organizational Affairs, Professional Practice, and the Nominations Committee. Dr. Stern serves as vice-chair of the FMCP Development committee.
Thomas is president of the Manchester Square Group and is an AMCP Founder. She also has served on various AMCP and FMCP committees over the years, including on the Past Presidents and Founders Advisory Council, FMCP Specialty Pharmacy Board and Strategic Marketing, and the Development Committee. Dr. Thomas serves as chair of the FMCP Development committee.
