Alexandria, Va., April 11, 2008 – The Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy (FMCP) completed in March 2008 a study that examines the prevalence and use of scientific evidence in the formulary decision making process. Results of the study were presented on Friday April 18, 2008 during the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy’s (AMCP) 20th Annual Meeting and Showcase in San Francisco, CA. Sean D. Sullivan PhD, Professor and Director, University of Washington Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research and Policy Program and Peter J. Neumann, ScD, Professor and Director, Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health, Tufts New England Medical Center will present the research findings during a poster session at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research's (ISPOR) 11th Annual European Congress in Athens, Greece, November 8-11, 2008.
