» FMCP Issues Call for Comments on the AMCP Format for Formulary Submissions...Comment Deadline Extended!!
FMCP will be revising the AMCP Format with anticipated release of Version 3.0 in June or July 2009.  The deadline for comments has been extended to January 16, 2009.  Creators, users and potential users of AMCP Format-based dossiers in health care systems and the pharmaceutical industry are asked to relate their experiences with implementation and use of the Format, difficulties encountered in implementing and/or using the Format process, and suggestions for improving the existing Format document and process.

The Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy (FMCP) has released the results of its 2008 market research project designed to obtain insights from leaders with informed opinions and/or decision-making roles (e.g., pharmacy directors, medical directors, etc.) on the expectations, behaviors and business trends of managed health care systems on a number of evolving issues.

» FMCP Research Examines Formulary Decision Processes in US Health Plans
Alexandria, Va., April 11, 2008 – The Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy (FMCP) completed in March 2008 a study that examines the prevalence and use of scientific evidence in the formulary decision making process.    Results of the study were presented on Friday April 18, 2008 during the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy’s (AMCP) 20th Annual Meeting and Showcase in San Francisco, CA.  Click the story title above to read the April 2008 press release and download a copy of the final report. 

Sean D. Sullivan PhD, Professor and Director, University of Washington Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research and Policy Program and Peter J. Neumann, ScD, Professor and Director, Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health, Tufts New England Medical Center will present the research findings during a poster session at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research's (ISPOR) 11th Annual European Congress in Athens, Greece, November 8-11, 2008.
